ABOUT NORTH OF 7
I'm often asked, "How did you get into woodworking?", followed by, "Why haven't you quit your job yet?" Both of those questions can be answered with one word: teaching. I'm an elementary teacher by day, and I absolutely love what I do! In fact, it was a project to get kids interested in math that sparked my passion for woodworking. What started with adding fractions for cuts turned into a table, then two tables, then a club, then a partnership with Habitat for Humanity, and now, North of 7 Designs.

The heart of North of 7 Designs is our indelible connection to nature. It is my mission to bring the beauty of nature, indoors.

Each piece I create is locally and ethically sourced from the Durham Region of Southern Ontario. And, this is where North of 7 Designs gets its name! My shop is located just north of Claremont, in the heart of rural Durham region.
